Dr.
Chin-Yu Huang, born in Changhua, Taiwan, is
currently
a Professor in the Department of Computer Science
at National Tsing Hua University, Hsinchu, Taiwan. He passed the National High Examination given by the Ministry
of Examination for civil service in the category of computer engineer and
the National High Examination given by the Ministry of Examination for professionals and technologists in
the category of computer engineer. Additionally, he was also certified
as an Information Processing Engineer by the
Industry Development Bureau, Ministry of Economic
Affairs, Executive Yuan. He
enrolled in the Chinese Army as a second lieutenant for the mandatory military
service (two
years). He received the MS (1994) and the Ph.D. (2000)
in Electrical Engineering from National Taiwan University,
Taipei. He had worked in the industry for more than 12 years and has extensive experience in commercial
software development and financial payment-system design. From 1990 to 1999, he
worked at Taiwan power company, Bureau of Standards, Metrology & Inspection
(formerly National Bureau of Standards), and Bank of Taiwan. He
was a senior software engineer at Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company
(tsmc) from 1999 to 2000. Before joining National Tsing Hua
University
in 2003, he was a division chief of the Central Bank of the Republic of China
(Taiwan). His
research and development interests include software engineering (particularly in
software reliability, software testing, and software metrics), software project
management, software testability, fault tree analysis, Markov analysis, etc. He
was included in the 2007 and 2009
Editions of Marquis Who’s Who in the World.
Dr. Huang received the Ta-You Wu Memorial Award from the
National Science Council of Taiwan in 2008. He received an Honorable Mention
Best Paper Award at the 2010 IEEE International Conference on Industrial
Engineering and Engineering Management (IEEM 2010). In 2009,
Dr. Huang was ranked at the 14th
place of top
scholars in Systems and Software Engineering worldwide between 2002 and 2006 by
the Journal of Systems and Software based on his research on software
reliability, software testing, and software metrics. In 2010, he was evaluated
and ranked at the 7th place in 2004-2008 and the 8th place in 2003-2007. He was
a Lead Guest Editor for Journal of Applied Mathematics Special Issue in 2013 and
for Advances in Software Engineering Special Issue in 2012. Dr. Huang has been
on the editorial board of Scientific Programming (Science Citation Index
Expanded) since 2017 and the editorial board of Journal of Information Science
and Engineering (Science Citation Index Expanded) since 2016. He is currently
serving as an associate editor for the IEEE Transactions on Reliability and
Journal of Information Science and Engineering.
黃慶育博士，出生於台灣彰化縣，曾應全國性公務人員高等考試電子工程職系計算機工程科考試及格與專門職業暨技術人員高等考試資訊技師考試及格，領有經濟部工業局所頒發之資訊技師執照。他在台灣服二年義務役 預官於宜蘭金六結，歷經陸軍少尉通信排長、有線電通信官等職務。他大學時就讀於新竹的國立交通大學，爾後自國立台灣大學電機工程學研究所(計算機科學組)獲得碩士(1992~1994)及博士(1995~2000)學位。黃博士在1990年至2003年間曾 服務於台灣電力公司、台灣銀行總行資訊室、台積 電、中央銀行資訊室(規劃及設計科科長)等等。他在央行服務期間，曾在2001年奉派參加東南亞國家中央銀行總裁聯合會(SEACEN)與國際清算銀行(BIS)支付清算系統委員會(CPSS)於印尼巴里島所舉辦之重要支付系統核心準則(SIPS)官方會議。黃博士於2003年2月進入國立清華大學資訊工程學系，目前是該系專任教授，他的研究領域包括了應用深度學習於軟體工程之理論與應用(特別在軟體可靠度、軟體測試、軟體度量)、軟體專案管理、軟體可測性、故障樹分析與馬可夫分析等。黃博士 曾在2008年獲得國科會吳大猷先生紀念獎與在IEEM 2010國際會議上獲得最佳論文獎佳作。黃博士於2009年獲Elsevier所出版之Journal of Systems and Software國際期刊評選為2002-2006年間系統與軟體工程領域 第十四名世界頂尖學者。黃博士於2010年再度獲Journal of Systems and Software國際期刊評選為於2003-2007年間 名列第八名，與2004-2008年間名列第七名之世界頂尖學者。黃博士目前是IEEE Transactions on Reliability與Journal of Information Science and Engineering國際期刊之副主編。
